Book Review: Being Binky - My Life in Chelsea

We all have our little guilty pleasures. Mine happens to be Made in Chelsea. Yes, I love it. The drama, the rumours, the clothes! So when I spotted this whilst doing my supermarket shop I couldn't resist.

Now without wanting to mean, I can be a little cynical when it comes to reality star autobiographies. Actually, this is rather well written. It's very conversational in style so it's a lot like reading a blog.

The book covers Binky's entire life to date and she shares a lot of experiences that I think younger readers will really identify with - being bullied at school, her parents divorce and the passing of a loved one.

Binky also provides her fashion, diet and dating tips, her top destinations for eating and drinking in Chelsea as well some fun extra titbits such as dinner party etiquette.

Never fear, it isn't all about her horses and growing up in the country. There's plenty in there about Made in Chelsea and her cast members as well as how she got involved in the first place.

It's a lovely book that I enjoyed reading over a couple of evenings. Plus, there are lots of lovely pictures to look at too!

Right. If you'll excuse me I think I'll go pop on my slippers pour myself some champaign *cough, prosecco, cough* and watch me some MIC. Toodles!

  2. I bet it would make a great holiday book, I'd maybe make it a 'pretend' cover ;-)

  3. Haha! I was literally doing everything I could to hide the cover when I was on the train to London sat across from my boss and surrounded by suited and booted business men!
