June Beauty Favourites

I thought I'd attempt to be a little bit organised this month and write my June Beauty Favourites in June, wild I know.

So here's a little run down of the products I've been loving and using religiously this month.

I can't believe it took me so long to jump on the Real Techniques band wagon. This blush brush is amazing and I've literally used it every day. It doesn't shed and stays beautiful wash after wash. Fantastic value for money and applies blusher perfectly every time, picking up just the right amount of product. To test it just for you I have used in my car (whilst stationary, obviously), on a moving train and in the dimly lit bathroom of a cocktail bar. And while I might not be painting the most glamorous picture, I did not once look like a clown. Real Techniques, I applaud you.

Cheap and cheerful! This blusher is such a great colour. It's very natural and whilst not the most pigmented formula it isn't chalky or too shimmery. It gives a lovely glow and is pretty foolproof.

This might be my favourite concealer ever. This must be my 6th or 7th tube. Light reflecting without leaving you looking like a disco ball. It's moisturising and doesn't cling to dry patches or sink into fine lines. It also comes with a handy brush applicator which makes application on the go super quick and easy. This is the perfect shade for me without a hint of orange. If you haven't tried this yet stick it on your wish list.

Chapstick Original
For some reason I used to think that Chapstick was crap. I have no idea how I got this into my head. I picked this up in the village newsagent (I work in a fairly remote location) in a moment of sheer desperation and haven't put it down since. My Chapstick has become my trusty companion wherever I go. Did I mention it was a quid? £1 people! Its honestly better that lip balms that have cost me over a tenner. I'm definitely going to pick this up in a few more flavours so I can keep one with me at all times. One for the office. One for the car. One by the bed...

Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker XL Lip Plumping Gloss in Very Berry
Oooh this is rather lovely. I've received complements every time I've worn it. It claims to plump your lips. They certainly look fuller and there's a definite tingling sensation, although not unpleasent. Great berry colour that is lovely for summer evenings as well as Autumn/ Winter. It has a nice sheer colour that is pigmeneted enough not to have to wear a lipstick underneath. The wear time isn't amazing though so be prepared for touch ups.

This is the first product that I have tried from the Topshop make up line. The formula is nothing new, think Rimmel Apocolips. But it's the colour that made me pick this up. It's a beautiful dusky rose pink, unlike anything else I have in my stash. It's a great colour for day or night. Plus the formula means you can have quite a sheer wash of colour (apply, wait, blot) or slather it on using the doe foot applicator for a full on highly pigmented satin pout. I don't find this sticky or drying. Total beauty bargain.

I love this retractable eyeliner for a couple of reasons. 1/ I can never find a pencil sharpener when I need one. Ever. 2/ It glides on easily and smudges out just enough. I hate eyeliners that are so creamy and bendable that you end up with product every where except where you put it in the first place. This one's great because it buildable. If it doesn't smudge as much as you'd like, scribble a bit more over the top (yes, I'm all about the technical terms) and smudge a bit more.

Well that turned into a ridiculously long waffle about slap. Hope you enjoyed it. If there are any of these products that you already have or would like to try leave me a comment below!
