What's in my Travel Makeup Bag

I've been travelling around a lot lately so I thought I'd do a little "What's in my Travel Makeup Bag" post.

The Bag

Let's start with the make up bag shall we? Isn't it gorgeous? This was a Christmas present from Lora and I believe it's from Oliver Bonas. I don't think they stock these anymore but they do have some similar (ish) ones.

Face

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Gel Foundation - £10.99

I've recently rediscovered the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Gel Foundation. It provides such a beautiful finish and the colour is a perfect match for me. I love this during the day but it's also gorgeous for summer evenings with a soft smoky eye or a bright lip.

Revlon Colorstay Concealer - £6.99

Oh Revlon Colorstay Concealer how I love you! Covers everything, doesn't cake or go patchy, lasts all day, isn't drying. In short - bloody marvellous.

Rimmel Stay Matt Pressed Powder - £3.99

This is a great pressed powder. I have it in translucent and it never cakes, looks heavy or powdery on the skin. Wish it had a sturdier case, a mirror and a puff but we can't have everything.

Natural Collection Blushed Cheeks - £1.99

I'm really enjoying using the Natural Collection blushers at the moment. For the price the quality is fantastic and there are some really lovely colours. This ones in Peach Melba.

Bourjois Volume Glam Ultra Curl Mascara - £7.99

If you read my last haul post you'll know I picked up the Bourjois Volume Ultra Curl Mascara. When I got this I wasn't totally sold. However, now it's dried out a bit I'm absolutely loving it. This gives a crazy amount of volume to deliver a full on false lash effect.

Eyes

Maybelline Brow Drama Sculpting Mascara - £4.99

I keep thing pretty simple with my brows when I off here there and everywhere. The Maybelline Brow Drama is a great budget brow gel. I find this gives a far more polished an defined look than a clear gel can offer. Still offers a nice natural finish though so no one will accuse you having drawn on your eyebrows with a Sharpie.

Urban Decay Naked Basics Eyeshadow Pallet - £22

The Naked Basics Pallet is the newest addition to my bag. It's compact size makes it perfect for taking with you on the go. Plus the colours are really versatile meaning you can do a lovely day look or really smoke things out for evening.

Lips

Carmex Lip Pot Original - £2.69

I tend to skip lipstick during the day instead opting for a swipe of lip balm. This Classic Carmex Lip Pot is a firm favourite and a handbag staple. It's super moisturising and plumping powers make this a holy grail item.

Nails

No7 Gel Look Shine Summer Nail Colour - £7

I'm usually too busy packing and procrastinating the night before a trip to paint my nails so I always take one with me. I'm really enjoying using the No7 Gel Look Shine Nail Colour in Orange Spice. It's a beautiful bright, zingy orange that never fails to brighten my mood.

So there we have it folks. Let me know if you like any of these products or if you have any suggestions for me!

  1. I have 3 of the products you mentioned: the Carmex lip balm, the Rimmel Stay Matte powder and the Natural Collection blusher. They are all really great and affordable products. Plus of course they are easy to pack in a travel bag x

  4. We have so many similar products! I totally agree with you on the Rimmel Stay Matte powder... my case is cracked and I've only just hit pan so I still have a way to go before I finish it!
Definitely think I need to grab the naked basics palette...not so bothered about getting all three of the naked palettes... but definitely need the basics!
