How to be a Thrifty Christmas Shopper

For many of us this week is payday! Yay! However, it's the last real payday before Christmas *sad face*. And if you're anything like me, you've left all of your Christmas shopping until November. To help your pay check go a little further than presents and bills I've put together some of my top bargain hunting tips so  maybe, just maybe you can buy yourself a little something special to go under the tree.

1. Quidco

Quidco is a fantastic cash back website. It's free to create account and you receive all of the cash back you earn over the first £5. They have deals with all of the major online retailers as well as some smaller ones. Just type in the name of the store and you'll be shown all of the offers available. Choose your offer, click through to the website and make your order.

Here are some examples of the bargains to be had:

Space NK 6% Cash back
House of Fraser 4% Cash back
Superdry 6% Cash back
Debenhams 3%
Amazon up to 4%
Boots up to 6%
Currys up to 7%
Feel Unique up to 11%

2. Download the QuickSnap App

So you're thinking "Quidco sounds interesting but what about when I shop on the high street?" Well that's where the Quick Snap App comes in! Take a picture of your receipt and upload it to the app. You'll receive the same cash back deals as you would going through the Quidco website. Cha ching!

3. Newsletter discounts

I always make sure I sign up to receive emails from my favourite stores as they regularly send special offers and promotions.

Certain retailers also have pretty great seasonal deals. For the last couple of years I have bought my winter coat from Warehouse with 25% off, new clothes for work with 25% off from Oasis and new casual clothes from new Look with 25% off. If you're a student always check to see if you can use your student discount with in with the offer. When you can you can get 35% off new season stock! That's a pretty great deal!

4. Designer Outlet Villages

You can get some real bargains at the Designer Outlets. I recently spotted this Michael Kors bag at Bicester Village for £125. It's currently on sale in Selfridges at £220 - That's a £95 saving!

5. Vouchercloud

Christmas means parties. Which means lots of eating and drinking. If you're paying for yourself make sure you check Vouchercloud. They have some great deals for high street chains such as Pizza Express and Ask Italian. Always check the terms and conditions as some items on the menu may be excluded from the deal.

So there we have it! Eat, drink, shop and be merry knowing that you've been a thrifty little shopper, you clever thing you.

Do you have an money saving ideas for Christmas?
