Autumn Nail Favourites

There are two nails shades that I have worn consistently throughout November - Binky London in Marrakesh and Maybelline Forever Strong Superstay Gel Nail Colour in Extreme Blackcurrant.

Binky London - Marrakesh

I have made no secret of the fact that Made in Chelsea is my guilty pleasure. I just love it. So when I was offered the chance to try one of Binky's new nail polishes I was super excited. Marrakesh is one of those bright but muted shades. It has a lovely terracotta tone to it which makes it unlike any other colour I own. The consistency is wonderful too. It applies evenly from the get go and is so opaque that you could absolutely get away with one coat if you're in a rush. Two coats and you have a beautiful smooth, super shiny, perfectly opaque nail colour. The brush is a great size too, comparable in width to Essie. Plus, the wear time is great. I find I can get five chip free days out of this if I use a top coat.

Maybelline Super Stay 7 Days Gel Nail Colour - Extreme Blackcurrant

This dark blackcurrant shade is sexy and vampy whilst remaining sophisticated and chic. This coverage isn't quite as good as the Binky London polish requiring two to three coats to get a good opaque finish. The first coat tends to look a bit streaky but as soon as the second coats on that completely disappears. The brush is a dream! It's super wide and because I have teeny tiny nails I can pretty much do them all in one stroke.

I have only ever used this with my Sally Hansen Mega Shine Extended Wear Top Coat. BUT we're talking a good 7 days wear time here. And even then no chips. A bit of wear along the edge of the nail, but no chips! Could it be a Christmas Miracle?  I think so...

Binky London in Marrakesh is available to buy online for £2.95
Maybelline Super Stay 7 Days Gel Nail Colour in Extreme Blackcurrant is available from Superdrug for £4.49 and is currently on 3 for 2
I'm currently using the Sally Hanson Mega Shine Top Coat from Superdrug £4.26

  1. Binky's nail polish looks really good! I'm quite surprised at how shiny and professional looking it is. x
