The Urban Decay Haul

I recently popped in to my local Debenhams and picked up a few bits. First up, Urban Decay Naked Skin,Ultra Definition Foundation. If you're a pale girl you definitely need to check this stuff out because the shade range is incredible. This isn't even the palest shade - it's a make up miracle folks! This is my third bottle of the stuff and it's love. I use shade 1.0 and it's the perfect pale neutral. The formula is on the light side of medium and its very buildable. It provides a beautiful satin finish that feels incredibly lightweight. I have combinations skin and although it startts to give up towards the end of the working day, I still love it.

The 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in Demolition is the A beautiful dark, warm brown shade, this adds some much needed definition to the eyes. It works with everything from a subtle daytime look to a full on smokey eye that shouts glamorous rather than Gothic against my super fair skin. This pencil glides on and is super smudgable for just long enough to finish your look and then sets. If you're looking for an eyeliner that will survive a full day at work, followed by a full night out - this is the one. My new make up bag staple.

Lastly, if you haven't heard about the Urban Decay Primer Potion then it's likely you've been living under a rock. It glides on, doesn't dry out the delicate lids, keeps eye shadow vibrant and crease free. Perfect.

A night at the movies

I love going to the cinema. It's a real treat just to sit and watch a film without the phone ringing, pinging or buzzing. You get to be transported somewhere exciting for an hour or two, ideally with a delicious treat.
But, I have two problems with cinemas in general.
1. I'm a bit short so I regularly get a partial view thanks to a head blocking the screen
2. Leg room is an issue. And there's always someone who wants to trip over your handbag no matter how well it's hidden.

But, I've recently discovered the Showcase de Lux in Wallsgrave, Coventry, and I'll tell you what. It's a bit of a game changer.

So the first thing to note is the leg room. Loads. Masses of it. Huge swathes of open space in which to wiggle your legs in the air - which I did.

Next are the seats. Big leather padded chairs. They recline. There's a foot rest. It's all electric. And they're awesome.
So you're thinking - OK so you pay twice as much right? Nope. Same price. Actually, probably a bit less.

This is First Class cinema. And I'm not the only one loving the fancy seats. The news is spreading fast! I've already been to see Baby Driver, Wonder Woman, Spider Man and Baywatch. And you know what? It's definitely worth the extra drive.

Have you tried Showcase Cinema de Lux yet? I'd love to know what you think!

Crabtree and Evelyn Hand Cream Review

Happy New Year! Can you believe it's 2018? 2017 just few by! So let's start the year with a season appropriate post. Hand cream my good people. Hand cream. My dry hands have been killing me. Cracking, flaking... it's disgusting and painful in equal measures. But I have found a miracle product that is saving me from gross granny hands.

Many thanks to Dave who spotted an Amazon lightning deal (having been subjected to my continuous bitching for a month or so) and picked up this gorgeous little set for me.

The Crabtree and Evelyn Lovely Hands Hand Therapy set is a beautiful treat for yourself or a loved one. In the box you get 6 hand creams:
  • Pear and pink magnolia
  • Tarocco orange, eucalyptus and sage
  • Pomegranate, argan and grapeseed
  • English honey and peach blossom
  • Verbena and lavender de Provence
  • Citron, honey and coriander
They all smell incredible but my favourites so far are Citron, honey and coriander and English honey and peach blossom.

These hand creams are super moisturising, transforming my gross, dried out prune hands in to a vision of smooth, juicy, dreaminess. They drink this stuff up in seconds which means there's zero stickiness. I also love that they are the perfect handbag size.

Here's the bad news. I can't find this set anywhere, but Crabtree and Evelyn currently have some sets of 3 on sale at £6.25. Bargain if you ask me.

I absolutely adore these and will be repurchasing the minute I run low. Love, love, love.
